Hi, I’m Abhinav. I like moving pixels.
Interaction and motion designer at Kiwi, Bangalore. Here’s how I got here.

Honestly, I wasn’t great at studies in school. What I did love was photography, colours, design and making videos. That somehow got me helping my computer teacher build the school website. One day she asked if I’d thought about studying visual communication. I hadn’t. I didn’t even really know what it was.
I gave it a shot and loved every bit of it. I made a lot of short films, picked up animation along the way, and completely fell for it. So I kept going and did a master’s in VFX and animation. Loved every bit of that too.
My first job was as a motion design and video editing intern at Unacademy, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to start. I stayed on full time and got to work across almost every part of the business: Graphy, NextLevel and Unacademy itself. By the end I was leading post-production for Airlearn in its early days. We also made some really fun podcasts with the founders, which was a lot of hands-on learning.
Next I joined POP, a UPI app, as a motion designer. It was a brand and product role, new to me again, and I loved every second of it. I made a couple of brand films, loads of Lottie animations, and promo videos for sales and festive campaigns. During the app’s revamp I brought in Rive as the interaction engine to make the experience feel more alive. Rive was still young back then, so I got to grow my skills right alongside the tool.
Today I’m at Kiwi, another UPI app, working fully on the product side as an interaction and motion designer.
